Care for a pun?

Okay so tea isn't leaf-water and coffee isn't bean juice.

Leaf-water is, I imagine, water from leaves, like the kind that dries out of the tea leaves when they're being processed. So that's settled. It's coffee that's more interesting.

Coffee isn't bean juice for two reasons:

• it's not made from beans (it's made from the pit of the coffee cherry, a fruit) and
• it's not juice.
• To make juice, one has to juice a plant: either pulse it up or press it or both to release the juices already in there.
• Coffee involves mashing up the pits, but it's not a juice that's extracted from them.

So calling it bean juice is all cute and no facts. It's a pit-tea, really.
